As we passed this stand of wild daisies I forced everyone into the group shot. Gosh they look genuine but I still got the flowers, despite the look on Parker's face.

I will love this shot forever! I just happened to push the button as she came toward me and poof! Perfect shot of the expression I see daily. Can you help loving the gap-tooth smile?

The water was bitter cold, even in late July. Even the weather was cool with some patches of sun peeking through occaisionally. The river rushing by, the mountains in the distance, the sounds of birds and other critters in the woods surrounding us, the laughter of my children playing and squealing in the water, honestly, it was perfect. I could have stayed forever. Maybe I will change my life goals and become a mountain man, (can I say mountain woman, is there a PC term for that one?).
Spencer added a notch to his "toughest kid" belt by fully submerging himself in the frigid water. He screamed all the way down but went up to his chin then scrambled to the side and flapped around awhile trying to warm up. The video of it is classic but I cannot get it here! Maybe next time!
