Farewell Lazy Days

Summer is at an end here in lovely Monticello. Yes, it is the middle of August but we start school this coming Wednesday.

To mark the end of a great summer the kids all wanted to have a "Back to School" party with their friends.


Whitney has darling, wonderful, fun, sweet, kindhearted friends. The kind every mother prays for, truly. These girls (and many other friends not pictured) have made the past year here a great one for Whit.

Bayleigh and Londyn decided that this would surely hold two little girlies. It did, for a minute or so.

We played lots of exciting water games but the girls especially like the "Got Your Back" where we taped a bit of toilet paper onto their backs, then they tried to get the paper off by squirting it with squirt bottles. The one with the most paper at the end wins. Many screeches and squeals in this game.

They had a great time. I think this will become a tradition.
