For weeks Jenna and I had been conspiring to take our families skiing. For weeks, no snow. Then, just at hope had all but faded . . . SNOW! Well, at least enough to justify taking the families for a ski day at this little resort in Colorado.
A little rental shack, one lift up the mountain, a perfect cold but sunny day, and almost the whole place to ourselves. Perfect.

Jenna often says that watching and listening to Whitney and Londyn is just like rewinding the clock 25+ years from Jenna and me. We all make a good team. I had to laugh as I saw this picture of Londyn and Whitney riding up the lift, then Jenna and I riding up in almost identical positions. After a few hours of tackling the slopes we parked it in the sun for a tasty picnic lunch. Somewhere on Jenna's camera is a great group shot of this but I am not tracking it down for this post. Just trust me it was adorable.
Whitney loves to ski and honestly just can't get enough. It is awesome to see her have to much fun and work so hard to get better and better.
Whit and Londyn looked like this most of the day.
Every time Parker would ski past me I would try to take his picture but he would get away too fast! I did catch him at lunch, a place you can always find Parker.
As in most things he tries, Spencer is an animal in skiing as well. His first run he started on a blue that, unbeknownst to him, turned into a black diamond. He crashed his way down the hill and went back for more and more. Every time I saw him he was grinning.
This is one of the few pictures where Jer and I were together. I tend to ski right on the edge of falling down and if my heart is not pounding a bit by the bottom of the run, I need to do better. I fell many times during this day.
Jer had his iPod in, skied not-so-crazily, and did not fall once. Typical.
Of course, I am the one with a hurt shoulder 3 weeks later and he just has happy memories to remind him of the adventure.
Also typical. Our opposites keep things interesting.
Ah, so fun! Noah's only wish this year was a ski day - I'm sorry to report we did disappoint. Love the picture of you and Jeremy! And Parker! Braces! Big day.
