Ah, the Smell of Pinewood in the Air

Gentlemen, start your engines. Yes, the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby has returned to town. Parker has officially moved on to the Boy Scout program so Spencer was our only competitor representing Team Knudsen with this Highway Patrol Car!

A good friend in town is a highway patrolman so we have decided this car in an homage to Mike and his awesomeness. We had a great time making it and getting all the details as great as we could.

On the big night, the anticipation was high. Spencer's came to starting line looking fit and ready for the competition.

In the end, Spencer walked away with 2nd place (we think - it was a bit fuzzy on the runners up) and had a great time at his first Pinewood Derby.


Spencer's current career plans are to enter his car in the county fair competition this summer. Otherwise he is brainstorming for next year and keeping his options open.
