This truly is the best day of the week. Church in the morning, home for a quick lunch, then quiet time/nap time.
erfect day for a bike ride. This is the view of us leaving our garage and heading down the alleyway to the road. Here we embark on the most difficult part of the journey - keeping the kids close enough that no one is flattened by other traffic. I am sure my neighbors think I am a witchy mom with all the shouted comments and directions but, hey - I am just trying to keep everyone alive for the return trip.
This is our half-way-there-let's-head-back-home spot. Notice the surly look on Parker's face. He was the one member of the family that did NOT want to go on a bike ride today. Insult to injury, his tire went flat soon after this and he had to walk quite a ways alone because we all thought he was just being a stinker and straggling behind. Good lesson in how attitude can make or break your day.

We finished off with a playtime at the park where we luckily ran into friends to keep everyone entertained. At home we all polished of a yummy dinner (Sundays are great for that!)
I have just sent everyone to the showers to get ready for family time of watching "America's Funniest Home Videos," otherwise known as the hour when Koryn, in spite of being a grown-up and above such nonsense, laughs herself to tears at one point in the hour. Anyone who knows me knows this is guilty pleasure of mine. There is no reasonable explanation, it just is.
Storytime, bedtime, bedtime stalling techniques (that never work for any of my children yet they keep trying night after night), TV time, reading time, snuggle time, mommy bedtime.
Sigh. The best day of the week.
I love Spence's nonchalant peace sign... he could totally pose with Asian teenage girls :).
