Without Further Ado, The House

So many of you have asked to see pictures of the new house. For some reason I feel reticent to show it off because it is still under construction - especially the outside. We still have a big dirt lot, no trees or shrubs, no pretty little flower baskets. Perhaps after the lush vegetation in Corpus (truly one of the things I loved most about that area) this little house feels a bit stark and barren to the eye. In fact, I have still not taken a picture of the house for my screen on my phone. I think I will take a shot off the back deck for now! Also the inside has a ways to go before it feels like it is truly our home.

Let's just call these a glimpse at the work in progress. As I do more, I will show and you will oooh and aaah at the amazing things I have done. At least we all know I have plenty to keep me busy for the next few months.

This is the main living area upstairs. If you looked right a bit you would see the kitchen. Such white walls everywhere! Going to work on that soon.

Next, just a few views of what we get to see each day - well OK, the rainbows are not there every day but the views are! Yes, that is a dirt road we live on. When I say we live in the country I do not exagerate.

This is the view from our back porch. I love to eat breakfast out here and watch the horses in the pasture behind our house. If you are lucky, sometimes you might catch a glimpse of the den of foxes out there as well. We have nightly visits from a local herd of deer, once so close to the house that it gave Jeremy a bit of a start.
